HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 24-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot early Sunday morning in the Honolulu area.

Police officials say two groups got into a confrontation in the downtown Honolulu area around 1:20 a.m. Sunday. The two groups apparently resolved their issue and left the scene. However, the suspect reportedly returned, confronted the victim and shot him on 80 South Pauahi Street.

The suspect, 33-year-old Cedrick Richardson, was arrested by responding patrol units on 1212 Nuuanu Avenue.
