SAN FRANSISCO, California (HawaiiNewsNow) - Authorities say a pair of deer are the reason for halting rush hour traffic in San Francisco, on the Golden Gate Bridge, no less.
Two deer were seen frolicking across the famous landmark for about half an hour in the north-bound lanes.
Despite holding up traffic, motorist snapped photos and videos of the deer sending social media buzzing with the rare sight.
The deer appeared to be heading toward Marin, which is known for its dense forests, and not a bad place for a pair of deer to spend the weekend.
California highway patrol said the deer were safety off the bridge just after 6 p.m.
