Firefighters rescue hikers from Koko Head

HAWAII KAI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu firefighters rescued two hikers Monday who were stranded on the back side of the Koko Head Crater Trail.

According to the Honolulu Fire Department, the women apparently went off the trail and got stuck at approximately 10:15 a.m. No injuries or illnesses had been reported.

Helicopters airlifted them down to Sandy's Beach.
