Euclid Police say 12 hour standoff ends with suspect committing suicide

EUCLID, OH (WOIO) -

A 12 hour standoff ends with the suspect committing suicide.

Euclid Police Officers were called to the home in the 1700 block of Kapel Drive abound 10:00 a.m. Sunday, after a man with weapons barricaded himself inside and threatened to harm himself.

Neighbors were not evacuated, but told to stay inside.

Multiple police officers and the SWAT team surrounded the home for hours.

Late Sunday evening, officers entered the residence and found Chris Malloy, 56, dead of a self-inflicted wound.

Nobody else was injured.
