The largest Cross Fit competition in the islands, Hawaii VA Games, raises money for two local charities

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The largest Cross Fit competition in Hawaii starts on Monday September 1st. More than 60 teams and 20 individual athletes will be competing in the 2014 Hawaii VA Games at the Neal Blaisdell Arena. Doors open at 8 a.m., and the competition last from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

All proceeds raised from the event will go to two Hawaii based charities that will be announced at the competition.

    Rescue and recovery efforts continued through the night into the morning in Italy following the collapse of a highway bridge in Genoa, while authorities raised the death toll to 35 with three missing.
