A construction accident in Kakaako stopped work near Ward Warehouse Wednesday afternoon when a concrete balance weighing about 25,000 pounds collapsed.
The concrete balance fell more than 150 feet at the job site.
The giant piece is used to balance the load on the crane and help keep it upright.
Cables and hooks that were holding the piece also slammed into the ground.
Luckily, no one was injured at the scene. However, workers were sent home early.
