'Surfing the Nations' broke barriers in North Korea

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Last month, "Surfing the Nations", a non-profit organization that uses the sport of surfing to give back and provide love and hope, broke barriers by sending a team of surfers into North Korea.

The team taught local residents in the area how to surf. Joining us now on Hawaii News Now Sunrise are Tom Bauer and Julie Nelson, to talk more about their experiences.
