KAHULUI, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The family of missing Maui woman Moreira 'Mo' Monsalve will be holding a memorial in her honor.

The celebration of life for the Maui mom will be on September 7 at the Kahului Community Center.

Monsalve has been missing since January 12 when she was last seen by her daughter, Alexis Felicilda, when Monsalve dropped her off at Kahului Airport.

Her daughter says they would like to honor her mother on September 7 - the day before her birthday.

"It will just basically be good to have everybody together and you know, having fun and remembering her and her life," said Felicilda. "It will be nice for everyone to be together."

The investigation is still classified as a "missing person" case.

Maui police named Monsalve's ex-boyfriend Bernard Brown as a person of interest but not a suspect.
