HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island police are searching for Hale Nani work furlough inmate Kalikona Fukuhara, who escaped from the reintegration center Friday night.
According to HPD, Fukuhara allegedly ran away from the reintegration center at around 8:30 p.m. Officials say they are not sure why he left the center. Fukuhara was serving time for first-degree burglary.
27-year-old Fukuhara is described as 5'11", weighs 160 lbs and has brown hair and brown eyes.
