HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police say an elderly woman involved in a hit-and-run in the Punahou area on Wednesday has died. Police say they need your help to find the motorcyclist who fled the scene.
Honolulu police say the 89-year-old woman died early Thursday morning at the hospital.
The incident happened around 5:25 p.m. Wednesday fronting 1641 South Beretania Street near Punahou. Investigators say the woman was crossing the street when a motorcyclist hit her.
Witnesses told police he fell off his bike then got back on and rode off.
He was wearing a black hat, black pants, long sleeve black shirt and was seen riding a black dirt bike.
Investigators say the man may be in his mid to early 30s and is about 5'5" weighing 140 pounds. Police believe the suspect may have injuries to both forearms.
