Local Connection: Hawaii Healthcare Heroes

By: Rick Blangiardi

Nothing is more important to people than their own health and well-being.

Feeling healthy and staying healthy are goals we all share and when we need help, we turn to those healthcare professionals in whom we entrust our lives.

They help us prevent illness, treat us on a regular basis and in the event of an emergency, they are there on the front lines making sure we come through any trauma.

Hawaii News Now is teaming with the Healthcare Association of Hawaii to Honor five Hawaii Healthcare Heroes and we need your help.

We need you to nominate someone who has made a difference in your life. It could be a doctor, nurse, therapist, hospice worker, pharmacist, ambulance driver or anyone associated with making you well.

Think of those who have held your hand before surgery, come to your home to help you recover from a stroke or taken your call in the middle of the night.

Nominate your Hawaii Healthcare hero by telling your story about how they cared for you. A panel of judges will name five heroes to be profiled right here on Hawaii News Now. They will be given prize packs from local businesses and honored at a special November ceremony.

Go to hah.org/heroes and share your story to give them the recognition they deserve.
