KANEOHE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Funeral services for Kumu Hula Aloha Dalire has been scheduled at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary.
The Wake will be held on Tuesday evening, August 19 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The viewing on Wednesday, August 20 will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the Celebration of Life Program at 1 p.m., and concluding at 3 p.m.
Services on both days are open to the public. Please note that cameras and any recording devices are prohibited in the services and any and all media guests will be set up across the entrance of the building.
Immediately following the Celebration of Life Program on August 20, a convoy consisting of Dalire family members and friends will be driving through areas of Kaneohe Town that were special to Aloha Dalire. This includes Dalire's very first Hula Halau location on Kamehameha Highway, which is now occupied by oldest daughter, Kapua Dalire-Moe, as well as Dalire's current Hula Halau located on Kahuhipa Street.
Aloha Dalire leaves a beloved hula legacy behind that will now be carried on by her three daughters, Kapua Dalire-Moe, Kau'i Dalire, and Keola Dalire; 16 grandchildren, Kili, Kahoku, Manaia, Mana, Ma'a, Malie, Masina, Kupu, Kahi, Kamaehu, Kuhonu, Kua, Emalia, Enaahi, Laulia, Kauahi; two brothers, Macky and Nick, and one sister, Toni; two hanai daughters, Violaine Moise and Sawako Van Osdol; and her Hula ohanas located throughout California, Arizona, Japan, and Hawaii.
