Bishop Museum hosts the 'Stars and Guitars Concert' under the night sky

Bishop Museum is hosting Stars and Guitars, on August 16, 2014 from 5-10 p.m, on its grounds. The event takes place under Oahu's night sky, with the unique sounds of the guitar. With the wide variety of musical styles, guests can enjoy diverse and entertaining music while hanging out on the lawn, or exploring the museum's exhibits. If weather permits, the museum observatory will also be open for viewing the planet Saturn beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Stars and Guitars is presented with the museum's current traveling exhibit "GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World." The exhibit features more than 60 stringed instruments, including examples of ukulele, steel guitars and ukeke from the Museum's collections.

Enjoy entertainment by Tavana, Taimane, Shawn Pimental, and Kaumaka'iwa Kanaka'ole, and more.
