Stowaway arrested again at Los Angeles airport

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police say a woman who flew from San Jose to Los Angeles without a boarding pass was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after wandering through several terminals without an airline ticket.

Marilyn Jean Hartman was taken into custody at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday for violating the terms of her probation. A day earlier, a judge had ordered her to stay away from LAX as part of her sentencing for entering the city as a stowaway on an aircraft.

Airport Police Chief Patrick Gannon said he had a feeling once the 62-year-old homeless woman was released from custody she would try to board a plane again without a ticket. He said Hartman took a shuttle bus to the airport and was observed wandering through the terminals "in what appeared to be a scouting mission."
