More than a dozen HS football games canceled across the state due to double Hurricanes

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - More than a dozen varsity football games have been cancelled or postponed, across the state of Hawaii due to the pending arrival of Hurricanes Iselle and  Julio.

There are 22 preseason and non-conference games scheduled between Friday and Saturday.

The OIA says they will wait until the Department of Education makes a decision on the remaining games.

The last time a natural disaster postponed or cancelled this many games came back in 1992, during Hurricane Iniki.

Farrington vs. Baldwin at War Memorial, 5 p.m., canceled

Kapaa at Nanakuli, canceled

Kapolei at Kealakehe, 7 p.m, canceled

Konawaena vs. Saint Francis at Campbell, 7:30 p.m., canceled

Saint Louis at Mililani, 6:30 p.m.

Moanalua vs. Waiakea at Wong Stadium, 7 p.m., canceled

Waimea vs. Anuenue at Kamehameha-Kapalama, 4 p.m. (varsity only), canceled

Moanalua vs. Kalaheo (JV), 4 p.m., canceled

Kamehameha-Hawaii vs. Kalaheo at Kailua, 6:30 p.m., canceled
