Disaster Preparedness: Pets and Documents

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hurricane Iselle is approaching the Hawaiian Islands, and Mileka Lincoln is live at City Mill to talk about how you can get prepared.

A list of essentials in times of emergency include 1 gallon of water person per day, flash lights, extra batteries, canned food and non perishable items, and a first aid kit.

It is also recommended to have a stock of any regularly taken prescription medication in case Mother Nature strikes.

Other essential precautions to take before a disaster hits is to fill gasoline containers and take out extra cash before a time comes when neither will be available.
