WAIPAHU, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are investigating a murder in Waipahu overnight.
According to Detective Peter Boyle a 28-year-old man was killed after a fight broke out between several people just after midnight at a home on Pupupuhi Street, near the intersection of Farrington Highway.
Boyle says the victim was stabbed in the chest and rushed in critical condition to a nearby trauma center, but died on his way to the hospital.
Detectives have interviewed one witness at the scene, but at this time there is no description of the suspect. The victim has not yet been identified.
