PEARL CITY, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two women are in serious condition on Sunday night after a car slammed into a Pearl City office.
The women were behind the front desk of a vet clinic on Kuahao St. at around 12:30 p.m. when a car crashed right into the building.
A witness from a nearby business told Hawaii News Now that one victim was trying to hold up the roof so it wouldn't crush her co-worker.
"She was literally holding up the roof because I guess her friend was pinned underneath and she was afraid the roof was going to collapse," said MAACO Operations Manager Lee Thorntorn.
"I ran outside as fast I could because it sounded really bad. It didn't sound like a fender bender. It sounded like just a horrible noise. I ran outside and you could see the whole doors of the veterinary clinic was off the racks and it was just insane."
The woman driving the car was not hurt. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
