Tip a Cop

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Some of our men in blue are temporarily trading in their badges for aprons. Five-0 will be waiting tables in order to benefit the Special Olympics.

In the Sunrise kitchen joining Grace Lee is Jennifer Hoss, General Manager of Kincaid's Restaurant, and Chief of Police for the Directorate of Emergency Services at the U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii, Antonio Williams; they show off some of the entrees and desserts available during the Ward Village event, Tip a Cop.

Tip a Cop is in its 24th year and all proceeds are donated to the Special Olympics, which the event hopes to build awareness for. Cops volunteer their time outside of their shifts in order to play the role of wait staff.

The fundraising event takes place between July 31st and August 1st in Ward Village. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night; for more information visit www.specialolympicshawaii.org.
