HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
A Laumaka Work Furlough Center escapee was captured by police Monday afternoon in the parking lot of Sports Authority on Ward Avenue.
Police say Jared Denault was arrested without incident. He was discovered as missing after a regular security check at approximately 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, officials said.
Denault next parole hearing was scheduled for September.
Officials are still looking for Eric Pixley, another Laumaka work furlough inmate who was discovered missing at a 1:30 a.m. head count on Saturday.
Pixley is 49 years old and is described as 5'8" and weighing 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Laumaka is a minimum security work furlough center for community custody inmates and is located a block away from the Oahu Community Correctional Center. The department said inmates assigned to Laumaka are either actively seeking employment or are working in the community.
