A Big Island man who was found guilty of shooting two police officers in the legs was sentenced on Friday.
Local media reported that Keaka Martin of Hilo received life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 10 years.
Martin shot officers Joshua Gouveia and Garrett Hatada from beneath a modified van in a parking lot in January of last year.
