HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Ohana Arts Summer Festival and School presents "Hairspray" the musical featuring local keiki ages 8-18 from around the island.
Performances will be at the St. Louis School campus at the Mamiya Theater and will run from Thursday, July 24th until Saturday, July 26th for a total of four performances.
Three evening performances on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be at 7:30 p.m. and the Saturday matinee will be at 2 p.m. General admission tickets are $15 and $10 for students.
Joining the Sunrise crew for a special performance are Bella Benzaken who plays Edna, and Devin Teruya who plays the part of Wilber.
"Hairspray" the musical follows the uplifting story of charismatic teenager Tracy Turnblad who is determined to defy the odds and break down barriers of body image and racism.
