AIEA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are investigating what appears to be an armed robbery at McDonald's near the Pearl Kai Shopping Center on Kamehameha Highway.

The incident happened Monday at approximately 4:30 a.m. where police said a suspect entered the fast food restaurant with a long firearm. The suspect is described as a male between 5'2" and 5'5" and approximately 115 pounds. He was seen wearing a dark colored long sleeve shirt, light colored jeans and clothing covering his face.

No one was injured, according to police, but the suspect managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are investigating if this armed robbery is related to one that happened last week at a Jack in the Box in Waipahu.
