HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Weather Service has cancelled the flood advisory that had been posted for several parts of East Hawaii island.

Forecasters said at 2:15 p.m., radar showed heavy rain and thunderstorms over the slopes from Glenwood to Pohakuloa Camp in the saddle area. Additional areas of heavy rain were seen on radar near Waikii and over the lower slopes of the Puna District.

Radar showed that the heavy rain had ended and so the advisory was cancelled.
