HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Michelle Wie doesn't need a flux capacitor to go back in time to find her former self.
After a great first half of the LPGA season, the Punahou grad has been reverting back to Wie of 20-13 and on Friday, her recent slump took another hit.
The 24-year-old entered 12 shots off the lead and only moved backwards in round two of the Marathon Classic.
She racked up six bogeys, including a double bogey on the seventh hole.
Wie finished with an 8-over-par-76 for one of her worst rounds of the season and that would ensure she won't be golfing through the weekend.
This recent tourney outing marks the first time since last May in which she's missed the cut in back-to-back tournaments.
