Up until last week, Michelle Wie has played the year like a golfing cyborg notching two wins and 10 Top 10 finishes.
But then, she missed the cut for the first time in 22 events and now we'll see if it was just a speed bump or the start of a slump.
Wie, entered Thursday's round one of the Marathon Classic as the sixth ranked golfer in the world, but, unfortunately, only looked like a shell of her dominant self this morning.
The Punahou grad had a tough outing missing 8 of 14 fairways en route to a five-bogey 74-performance.
She had three straight to close out the round at three-over par.
Wie sits twelve shots off the lead and is currently tied for 104th place.
It's the fourth straight round in which she's finished at least two-over-par.
The top 70 are projected to make the cut.
Round two action starts Friday morning at 9 on the Golf Channel.
