AKRON, OH (WOIO) -
The city of Akron and the LeBron James Family Foundation wants to throw LeBron a big bash to welcome him home.

Akron City Spokeswoman Stephanie York tells 19 Action News that they are still wrapping their heads around the fact that he's actually coming home and no date has been set. York says they are in the early stages of planning the big event with the Foundation.

York also says she knows LeBron will be traveling this summer and they are looking at having it sometime in August.

Meantime, Akron City Council passed a resolution Monday night thanking and welcoming LeBron James and his family back home.
