Samuela Mataele was charged Tuesday for second-degree murder and first-degree terroristic threatening. His bail has been set at $250,000.

Police have confirmed the victim in Sunday's Kahaluu shooting has died.

Police arrested 18-year-old Samuela Mataele at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Sources say he shot his uncle in the head with a .22 caliber rifle.

Honolulu police are searching for a suspect in the Kahaluu area after reports of a shooting incident. 

According to an Emergency Medical Services report, paramedics treated a 65-year-old patient for an apparent gun shot wound around 12:15 p.m. Sunday on Waihee Road. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. 

Officials say the victim was taken to Queen's Hospital in critical condition. Police say traffic on Kamehameha Highway and Waihee Road may be affected due to the investigation.
