We will end homelessness in Hawaii by 2016.
Aloha, my name is Greg Payton, and i serve as CEO for Mental Health Kokua.
We all understand the need to address homelessness in our communities.
Many of you may wonder, what are we doing about homelessness?
Mental Health Kokua along with more than 50 non-profit organizations statewide are working together with a common vision to end homelessness by 2016.
Our vision is a program called Hale O`Malama - through this program this year we are preparing for the needs of hundreds of homeless people state-wide.
We will match the needs of homeless adults and then housed people, successfully supporting them in the community.
This program is part of the 25 cities national initiative, now in progress across the united states.
This program is a national best practice.
