Ticket Down is a dependable source for Brazil vs. Netherlands World Cup 3rd Place Match tickets. In the world of international soccer, it is more about pride than almost anything else. After losing in the semifinals 7-1 to Germany, that is all Brazil has left to play for. The third place match being held on Saturday, July 12 from Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha in the capital city of Brasilia, and most fans were never expecting to see the host nation playing there. Brazil will look to recover from their first home loss in a competitive game in more than 14,000 days by playing the 2010 second place Netherlands team.

After crushing Spain in their first game of the tournament, Netherlands played tight matches, barely beating Australia in the group stage and then beating Mexico 2-1 and then getting past Costa Rica on penalty kicks after going scoreless for 120 minutes. In the semifinal against Argentina, goals were again at a premium, which is somewhat of a surprise given the otherwise high-scoring tournament. Netherlands will look to defeat the host nation and continue their terrible week. To do this, they will need Robin van Persie to be healthy and will need Arjen Robben to continue his excellent play.

After suffering the worst defeat in their rich history, Brazil will hope the return of their defensive star Thiago Silva from suspension will help settle things down and make Júlio Césars job a bit easier than it was against Germany. The Brazilian team didnt impress many fans with their play through the group stage and the elimination rounds, but they found a way to get the victories. They were able to do so with the leadership of Neymar, but the broken vertebrae as a result of an errant knee against Colombia kept him out of the semifinal and this game against the talented Dutch roster. Without Neymar, the Brazilians will look to get more from Hulk, Marcelo, David Luiz, and Oscar.

Located in the heart of Brazil, Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha was originally built in 1974 and was renovated to be used in the Confederations Cup a year ago, this tournament, and the 2016 Summer Olympics. The venue has a capacity of close to 70,000 fans and has hosted six games already this tournament. Brazil previously played here during the group stage and fans were pleased with their 4-1 victory against Cameroon.
