Fourth of July fireworks sparked a brush fire on Maui late Friday morning.
Firefighters responded shortly before noon to Maui Lani Parkway nearby a golf course where approximately three acres of dry brush was scorched by the blaze.
Officials said the fire was brought under control at 12:20 p.m. While crews were on scene, they were alerted of another brush fire at Mahaolu St. and Hoomoku St. where an area about half an acre was also charred by fire.
No damages or injuries were reported at either fire. The cause of the second fire is still under investigation.
