Power restored to 4,000 customers following Halawa outage
HALAWA (HawaiiNewsNow) -
[Update 9 p.m.]
Power has been restored to all impacted customers, according to HECO.
Approximately 4,000 customers are without power after an outage happened near Aiea Intermediate on Thursday, according to the Hawaiian Electric Company.
HECO crews were notified of the outages at approximately 6 p.m. and a troubleshooter arrived on scene shortly after. A HECO spokeswoman said the outage is related to "equipment problems" at Kealaluina Drive and not a downed line as originally thought.
HECO did not have an estimated time of when the power would be restored.
