Yokohama Bay reopened after rockslide

Yokohama Bay reopened after a rockslide reportedly covered a 200-foot stretch of the Farrington Highway Saturday afternoon.

Honolulu police officials shut down roads in the far end of the leeward coast for a portion of the afternoon due to rocks and debris.

HPD officers closed the roads around 4:13 p.m. to clear the debris, and the road was re-opened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say the slide occurred near Makua Cave in the Makaha area.

No injuries have been reported.
