North Toledo porch fire appears 'suspicious'

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Fire investigators say an overnight house fire in north Toledo appears to be ‘suspicious.'

Flames broke out at a home on Weber Street, near Cottage Avenue, around 4 a.m. Saturday.

According to the fire chief on scene, the fire appears to have started on the back porch of the home and made its way up to the second story.

No one was injured. The house is believed to be vacant.

An arson investigator was called to the scene. An investigation is currently underway.

    Honolulu firefighters worked to extinguish a fire at an apartment building on Kapiolani Boulevard Monday evening.  The call came in around 6:30 p.m. HFD responded and all westbound lanes of Kapiolani boulevard prior to Date Street were closed.
