MANOA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A body was found on campus at the University of Hawaii on Monday evening.
The Honolulu Police Department, Honolulu Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, and the Honolulu Medical Examiner all responded to the call.
According to the HPD, the body of an elderly male was found around 6:15 p.m. on a trail next to faculty housing, across the street from the Hawaiian Studies building, near 2640 Dole Street.
Police said there is no immediate connection to any reports of missing persons.
They say the body appears to have been there for a couple of days.
Police say they are not ruling out foul play and they are treating it as a crime scene until proven otherwise.
An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday morning to determine the cause of death.
