Former Kaimuki High School teacher accused of having sex with students in Texas

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Pamela Jones was Pamela Brostek when she graduated from UH Manoa in 2005 with a degree in education.  She then started teaching at Kaimuki High School.

Jones was arrested by U.S. Marshals last week and is now in a Dallas, Texas jail accused of having sex with two 16-year old students.  And there could be more victims.

The 35-year old taught English at Athletes for Change, a residential treatment facility and school for troubled teens.  The President of the school says some of the boys were already sex abuse victims making the charges against Jones even more disturbing.

The students are confined to the facility.  Only a few are allowed to leave.

"We only had three kids to have passes because they were about to complete the program and these guys were completing the program successfully," says Dennis DeVaughn.

According to Dallas Police, Jones had sex with one boy in her car in April, and invited another boy to her home in May.

Jones lived in Manoa.  Family members are still at the home on Oahu Avenue but declined to talk to us about the allegations.

The Department of Education says Jones left Kaimuki High School after only a year.   There were no problems with her while she was there.
