A 30-year-old man is fighting for his life after being critically injured in a car crash Monday night.
The accident happened just before 10 p.m. on the Hana Highway, north of Holokai Road in Haiku. Police say the man lost contro of his car, then hit two utility poles and a group of mailboxes.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt, and police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
