(Hawaii News Now) - This week's HI ACHIEVER is an ambassador of love, because she welcomes everyone. Rachel Alm of Roosevelt High School feels it is crucial to that no one at her school feels left out. That is why she spends hours with Roosevelt's Special Olympics-Project Unify Partner's Club and she is an energetic leader who has a compassionate vision-helping foster a culture of acceptance and respect for individuals with disabilities. She plans unified sports where they play ball games together at school. She hopes to be a psychologist and continue to work with the Special Olympics as a volunteer. Jennifer Robbins has her story from the UH Special Olympics Summer Games.
If you know a student who is excelling in school and giving back to the community, he or she can be our next "HI ACHIEVER."
