The 2014 Aloha Festivals is taking applications for the royal court and floral parade

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The 2014 Aloha Festivals is now accepting applications for their royal court and annual floral parade. They are looking to fill positions including mō‘i kane (king), mō‘i wahine (queen), kamāliʻi kane (prince), kamāliʻi wahine (princess) and other court members of the 2014 Oʻahu Royal Court.

Antoinette Lee and Charles Kapua, with Aloha Festivals, are here on Sunrise to talk more about the event. Applications must be received by Monday, June 30th.

    An eviction gone wrong on the Big Island ended with after a lengthy standoff and the arrest of two people Monday evening.  According to police, the landlord of a home in the Hawi area of North Kohala attempted to evict a couple from the home around 9:45 a.m. During the eviction, the couple, identified as 27-year-old Lucas Wolf and 28-year-old Britney Wolf, showed resistance and acted aggressively, police said.  Britney then allegedly fired a single shot and...
