HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - In less than 24 hours, dozens of young baseball stars will have their lives altered after day one of the Major League Baseball draft.
One player who will be awaiting a call is former St. Louis pitcher Jordan Yamamoto.
Regarded as a top 200 prospect according to MLB.com, Yamamoto possess a fastball in the mid 90's and has a legit three-pitch arsenal.
"I just like to go in to matter who the batter is I just like to mow them down no matter what. I just take that mentality and just work with it because I don't really worry about the batter and what he can do because no matter what they have to hit off of me and I have to pitch to them, so I might as well be the guy on top."
If Yamamoto isn't selected in a round he likes, he'll attend the University of Arizona on a full scholarship.
