Waiakea senior Kodi Medeiros has more than graduation to look forward to this summer.
The Hilo native will be entering the Major League Baseball Draft on Thursday.
Prior to his final year with the Warriors, Medeiros was the only Hawaii player invited to the Perfect Game All-American Classic. Featuring the 38 best players from around the country, the game is known as one of the biggest scouting platforms for baseball.
In his senior season, the left-handed pitcher led his team to a 13-3 record while wrapping up his high-school career with a .97 ERA.
Medeiros is projected to be drafted in the mid-to-late end of the first round.
However, if he chooses to forgo going professional, the all-star will head to Pepperdine University.
