Local boy Ryan Shimabukuro steps down as U.S. speed skating coach for a new head coaching position

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

It was recently announced that United States' speed skating sprint coach and local boy Ryan Shimabukuro is stepping down after 16 years. Ryan has taken a new head coaching position with the Japan Skating Federation. He joins us on Sunrise to talk about overcoming obstacles and dealing with adversities when things don't go as expected. He also talks about future plans for him and his family.
