Surfer accused of attempted murder pleads not guilty

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The self-proclaimed pro surfer accused in a violent road rage attack pleaded not guilty on Tuesday.

Jill Hansen is charged with second-degree attempted murder.

Police say she followed an elderly woman into a Waikiki parking garage earlier this month and hit her with her car.

The victim, Elizabeth Conklin, who is in her 70s, was hospitalized in serious condition with cuts, and bruises.

Hansen is being held on $1 million bail. Her trial is set for late July.
