Wong pushes hitting streak to eight games

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - For the first time in his career, Kolten Wong suited up against the New York Yankees on Monday and he didn't let the pin stripes get in the way of his hitting streak.

The Kamehameha-Hawaii grad smoked an RBI-double in the first inning for his eighth straight game with a hit.

He finished the day 2-for-4, but in the bottom of the 12th, Wong was the tying run at the plate when David Robertson struck him out to end the game.

The Yankees won, 6-4.
