HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Former Rainbow Warrior Quarterback Bryant Moniz has signed a standard two-year contract with the Canadian Football League's Calgary Stampeders.
This will be Moniz's second attempt at playing professionally after a knee injury sidelined the quarterback from the Arena Football League's Georgia Force in 2012.
A Leilehua graduate, Moniz joined the Warriors as a walk-on in January 2009. However, his career ended late in his senior season following a broken ankle.
During his final year at UH, Moniz threw for 2,733 yards and 22 touchdowns, leading the team to a 6-7 overall record.
