(Hawaii News Now) - The Hawaii News Now Community Connection TV segment, sponsored by First Hawaiian Bank, is one of the many ways the bank supports non-profits. Founded in 1858, First Hawaiian Bank has been investing in our island community for over 155 years. The bank and its Foundation’s contributions have totaled $10 million in the past four years, making it one of the largest corporate contributors to charities.
Supporting charities is part of the bank’s culture. 98 percent of First Hawaiian Bank employees participate in their annual Kokua Mai employee giving campaign, raising over $4.1 million since 2007. In 2014, employees launched Community Care, a new employee volunteer service program. Employees clean beaches, paint buildings and beautify schools on all islands and on Guam and Saipan with more activities planned throughout 2014. First Hawaiian Bank’s Ohana takes pride in giving back to the communities where we live and work. Visit:
