HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Toby Stangel, the man convicted of killing a mother of ten at a Honolulu intersection while her 16-year-old daughter watched, will not be eligible for parole until May 1, 2141.
The Hawaii Paroling Authority issued its decision on Wednesday. Stangel will serve six different sentences consecutively. The earliest he will be able to request a reduction in sentence will be in the year 2071, when he is 87-years-old.
Stangel went on a highway shooting spree on June 3, 2011. In addition to killing Tammy Nguyen, Stangel injured two other motorists and fired at Honolulu Police officers.
