HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Former Lieutenant Governor James Duke Ainoa has made it official that he will be entering the upcoming race for governor.
The Republican candidate worked as lieutenant governor for former Governor Linda Lingle for eight years starting in 2002, then lost the race for governor to current Governor of Honolulu Neil Abercrombie. He has also spent 20 years as a city prosecutor, city attorney, and even a state judge.
Duke Ainoa joined Grace on Sunrise this morning to talk about his upcoming campaign tactics and discussed his viewpoints on same sex marriage and how he would plan to tackle Hawaii's homeless issue.
