Clay signs contract with the Packers

Former Rainbow Warrior Charles Clay signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers Monday.

Clay, a graduate of Hilo high school, impressed coaches at Hawaii's pro day, which earned him an invitation to the Packers rookie mini-camp last weekend.

As a senior at UH, Clay logged 69 tackles as a safety; he also excelled as a special teams member.

Clay's contract is for three-years and means he'll stay in Green Bay until mid June when the Packers hold another mini-camp.
