Galdiano cruises to victory at Jennie K.; sets tourney record

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - At only 15-years-old, Mariel Galdiano is widely considered to be Hawaii's next great golf phenom and on Sunday, she put on a performance that shows why.

The Punahou sophomore shot a final round of 70 to win the 2014 Jennie K. Wilson Invitational.

She entered the day with an eight-stroke lead over the field and didn't take her foot off the pedal, racking up four birdies through the first 10 holes.

Galdiano finished the tourney at 10-under par, which breaks the previous tournament record by five strokes.
